The unique qualities of Gower as an Area of Outstanding Natural
Beauty, unsurprisingly attract millions of visitors every year.
Gower is home to a multitude of recreational activities, many of
which are closely associated with the sea. Gower boasts some of the
best surfing and water-sport beaches in the UK, the peninsula has
south, west and north facing beaches providing endless enjoyment for
windsurfing, kite-surfing and kite-buggying. Canoeing, sailing and
water skiing are also among the adventurous water sports to be
enjoyed. The Gower Peninsula is well known for its sea fishing
opportunities, of which Langland, Port Eynon, and Llangennith are
favoured.
Back on land, jagged limestone cliffs present the perfect challenge
for coasteering, caving and climbing enthusiasts. The array of
beaches offers the ideal location for a thrilling canter across the
sand on horseback. Gower is also home to some challenging golf
courses in spectacular locations.
